Memorial Day

We all went to Tracie & Brian's house for a Memorial Day BBQ. Ok, it was actually the Sunday before and a good thing it was since it rained all day Monday. We had some good food and then played a bean bag game that was a lot of fun. I see that game being played again.

Grammy's Trip

Another week of work went by and Grammy came to watch Sydney. There was lots of laughs, smiles, good cooking and just all around fun. Syndey decided to go 5 days without doodling - we just knew it would be a blowout. Good thing Grammy was here :-). However, no blowout so we were all saved. Well, until I put a small diaper on her (all that was left in the diaper bag) and she was stuck in the car seat. Gotta love those car changes! On Friday, Tracie came over for a beanbag making lesson. Karen and Bruce came over Friday night for some BBQ and to meet Sydney. We all went to the Boulder Creek Festival on Saturday before Grammy flew back to Texas. There were many pictures of Sydney taken. I will post them as a seperate blog coming soon.

Whitney's Trip & Back to Work

Wow - time sure does fly. I started back to work last week on Tue-Thu. Whitney flew out to meet Sydney and keep her for the week. She and Sydney bonded and had a great time together. They enjoyed Pearl Street and other Boulder hangouts. On my day off, we all went to the zoo. The zoo is more for the adults at this point :-). We took Sydney out for our first dinner out. We joined Tracie and Melissa at PF Changs - had to start her off right! And on Saturday we all (including Brian) went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival at 6am! It was early, but worth it.
This week Sydney had turned into a chatter box. It is sooooo cute!

Mother's Day

I hope all the mothers had a great Mother's Day. I had a great first Mother's Day. Brian took charge of Sydney in the morning and I got our stuff ready for a picnic at Chautauqua Park. We met up with our friends Lauren, Phil & Sophia. Sydney and Sophia enjoyed each other's company. Of course, Sophia was just talking to Sydney and Sydney just listened. She didn't want to contribute to the conversation much yesterday. She is quiet like her dad. Whitney arrived last night to stay the week. She and Sydney hit it off from the start. They will both have a fun week. To finish up the night, Brian and I did Sydney's hand print. Sydney was sound asleep and would have done great except once you put her hand in the plaster she woke up. She squirmed so the hand print is a little smeared. But... it is her hand print forever and ever :-).

Snapshots

Sydney is growing so fast! She is always wanting to sit up and take in the world. She is also starting to grab at toys. Check out the link to see her holding on to items on the jungle gym and other cute photos.

Day At The Zoo

Sydney went on her first trip to the zoo yesterday. Of course, she had no clue where she was, but it was fun for mom :-).

Crazy Colorado Weather

Gotta love Colorado! It was a beautiful day yesterday at about 82 degrees. We all went and walked down Pearl Street and had some lunch. Then later on, Brian took a bike ride with our neighbor. Today, it is in the 40's with 2" of snow! The snow has now stopped and started to melt.
