Gran & Pops Visit

Gran and Pops came for a long weekend visit. We didn't go many places, however they stuck around the house to spend time with Sydney. Pops got to play some golf and he and Brian went out to play one day.

Gran & Sydney Pops & Sydney (Sydney has a good hold!)

Sydney kept trying to drink water out of Gran's cup

Pops even helped out with the feeding

Saturday we all went to Wash Park for Bryan Allen's birthday picnic. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

Here is Sydney practicing to crawl. She will get on her hands and knees and rock - no moving YET.

Here she is practicing walking - with Dad's help

Brian loves to play volleyball, so he is starting her early
Time to investigate the grass (unlike her cousin Sara :-) )
Her new thing last weekend was to open her mouth wide and say Ahhhhhhhhh
Look at Sydney's blonde hair

Brian and I got a night out on Saturday. We ate dinner at Chautauqua Dining Hall and then sat outside the concert hall and listened to some music.
Just some cute pictures of Sydney

This was where the pictures ended due to a stomach bug that infested our household. I got it Sunday morn at 1am which lasted all day. Brian got it the next day. Pops had a small dose of it. Then Gran got it the night they returned home to Birmingham. What fun!

The Police Concert

Brian and I went to the Police concert at Red Rocks last night. It was a beautiful night with some great music. We were on the 10th row - so we had a great view. I put a small clip of Roxanne on the blog. Melissa watched the munchkin while we had a baby free night. Besides work, that is the longest time that we both have been away from Sydney. Of course I called :-).

G-Pa's Visit

G-Pa came to visit last weekend to meet little Miss Sydney. They had a great time together and had a few adventures...

Their first afternoon together

Friday we all went to RMNP and Estes Park. Brian found a road to a lookout that was quite adventurous. There were many rocks, bumps and holes. Once we were at the lookout, the view was beautiful.

Sydney loves to look at the Aspen tree in our yard. There were Aspens all around us at the lookout and she just loved playing with the tree limbs with G-Pa.

Here are some family photos...

We left there and drove in to Estes Park to walk around. We went on a short hike off of Bear Lake.

It was a very nice day out and we all a great time.

On Monday, we went into Boulder to walk on Pearl Street and have lunch. Tracie got to join us and enjoy the nice day out. Sydney even got to try on her first set of shades at the Buffalo Roams. That store is also known for it's goofy hats.

Mountain Trip

GPa is visiting this weekend - pictures to come on another post. Brian, Brian's dad, Sydney and I went up to RMNP yesterday. Brian found a new road to take for a beautiful few of the mountains and Estes Park. The road was quite rocky! Here is a video of our adventure to the look out.

Meeting Baby Jacob

Brian, Sydney and I drove to Dillon yesterday to meet our friend's new baby boy Jacob. He is so tiny. It is hard to remember Sydney being that little. Time flies by so fast. We drove on to Breckenridge and walked around before heading home. Sydney did great for most of the day, however it came a time that it was just too much in the car seat.

4th of July

I hope everyone had a great holiday! We went down the street to our HOA neighborhood picnic. Sydney made it for awhile before she fell asleep in Brian's lap. Later that night Tracie and Brian came over to cook out hamburgers. Brian, Sydney and I skipped the fireworks this year. Our neighbor Sarah also stopped by to chat.

Another day in the life of Sydney

Sydney is doing very well with the rice cereal with most of it staying in her mouth now :-). She looks like a baby bird reaching for more from the spoon. I pulled out the exersaucer and she absolutely loves playing in it. It is fun to watch her go from toy to toy on it. Cheap entertainment!
