Waiting For Grammy's Arrival

Wow - there is a lot to blog about! Last week was jam packed with Grammy & Grandpa Dave's visit. Here are some pictures of Sydney while we waited for them to drive in from Texas.

A Beautiful Day Outside

It was a beautiful day on Sunday and Brian, Sydney & I spent the afternoon outdoors.

After her afternoon nap, we went down the street to the park.

Sydney really enjoyed going down the slide with her dad.


Sydney had so much fun on the slide that we thought we would let her try to go down by herself on the short slide.

It didn't go so well....


Sydney also got to get on the swing set.

Now that Sydney has mastered crawling, she loves to get to a places so that she can stand up. She is also cruising along the couch and chair. She will even go from the chair to the ottoman on her own. She is quite adventurous.

Sydney also likes to stand up by the shelves where the stereo and pictures are. Here she is studying her family members.

Halloween 2008

We didn't have our annual pumpkin carving party this year. Brian ended up carving a pumpkin Halloween night. His is obviously on the left. Mom sent me the turkey parts for my pumpking. So much cleaner!

Here is the first time we put the costume on. Sophia didn't want to put hers on so we ended up taking Sydney's off since it was so warm.

Nisha & Jordan stopped by so the costume went back on.

Sophia finally got her costume on so Sydney had to get hers on for the 3rd time. She wasn't too happy with me at this point.

Sydney is thinking that she is tired of having to put on her costume and wished the night was over. She pretty much had a melt down at this point.

Election 2008

Sydney went with Brian and I to vote this morning. Too bad her vote doesn't count. :-)

Tooth

Sydney had a tooth break thru overnight! We wondered why she woke up at 9pm, 12, 3 and up for good at 5:30am. Now we know. Of course she woke up an hour early due to the time change on Sunday. We are not a fan of daylights savings time!

She also went for her 9 month checkup today. Yes, 9 months already :-). Here are her stats: Height-29" and 90th %tile ; Weight - 17lbs 15oz and 30th %tile. Our tall little girl!!!

Day At The Park

It has been unseasonably warm the last few days. I took Sydney for a walk down to the lake and the park. That was her first trip down the slide. She loved it.
