Santa Cruz

Brian, Sydney & I headed to Santa Cruz for a wedding. Unfortunately we missed our flight that morning but lucked out and got on standby that night. What a long day! We flew into San Jose and GPa picked us up and drove us down to Santa Cruz. All the wedding festivities were at the hotel and it was nice staying there.

Grammy made Sydney a paper boat to play with at breakfast.

The Family

We all went to see the beach and boardwalk. A bit breezy and chilly.

This was the first time for Sydney to be on the beach and she wasn't a fan of the sand. :-)

Father's Day

Brian, Sydney and I went up to Estes Park for Father's Day. Sydney had a great time walking around the lake with her dad.

Here is Sydney looking like an angel after having some lunch before our walk.

Sydney was so excited that the lady let her pet her dog.

And we are off to walk around the lake. Brian had the backpack, however Sydney walked around at least half of the lake.

Sydney looked at the water and said "wa wa." That is the first time she has said "water." We were so excited. She says it all the time now.

Of course she had to pick up many rocks along the way :-)

Brian taught her to throw her rocks into the water. Needless to say, we were there for a bit so she could throw rock after rock after rock....

On the way our of the park, we saw 2 elk lounging. We had to be like tourists and take pictures.

We then stopped by the BIG slide. Sydney seemed to like it.
