Gabe & Julie got hitched last weekend. Sydney and I went to brunch with the girls while Brian went to brunch with the guys. Sydney was such a happy girl all morning, however with only one nap by 4:00, it started out a long night for the wedding. The wedding was in Boulder. Unfortunately, with Brian in the wedding and Sydney being fussy, we didn't get a good family photo from the event.

Hiking at Rainbow Lakes

Brian, Sydney & I went on a hike at Rainbow Lakes west of Boulder. It turned out to be a short hike by the time we got there, fed Sydney and had to return home for Brian to attend Gabe's wedding rehearsal.

Crawling

Sydney crawled a little bit last Saturday night while Brian wasn't home, however hasn't done it since. Until last night. Sydney took off a few times with her arms and legs all coordinated. Yipee! She still likes to do her "worm" as she probably feels that she can get to her destination faster that way. Her favorite thing to do is to grab your thumbs or fingers and pull herself up. It is really cute since she bends her knees and steps up on one foot then the other. Then she likes to walk a few steps. We believe she would like to bypass crawling and start walking :-). She has gotten the hang of pulling up with us, however doesn't pull up on furniture. I guess that is a blessing.


In the midst of all of this, we didn't have the camera ready. Actually we couldn't find it last night of all nights. We will capture her soon and will post a video.

Too Darn Cute

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Breckenridge for the long weekend with 4 other families. Below is the house that we stayed in - had to be big to house us all!

Sydney got to explore the yard. She was intrigued with the grass.


Everyone was biking into town one morning so we decided to borrow a bike trailer for Sydney. She made it there ok, however the harnesses did not hold her very good. She was asleep and sideways by the time we got there. I stayed in town with her and Brian came to pick us up in the jeep.

The house we stayed at had a saucer which Sydney liked to play in. Even the boys liked it!


Go BAMA!!! We didn't get Sydney in her CU duds since I was sick :-(.

On the day we left to go home, we stopped for a short hike. This is Sydney's first hike! She was a real trooper and did great. Of course, she fell asleep on the way back.

Scooting

Toys

Sydney new thing is to scoot over to the toy basket and take out all the toys. It is so cute!

Another Day at the Zoo

Brian, Sydney & I met up with Phil, Lauren & Sophia at the zoo yesterday. It turned out to be a very nice day. The girls were awake most of the time and got to see lots of animals.

Sydney is fed, happy and covered up to keep the sun off.





Sydney really enjoyed the birds. She would watch then and smile.


Her dad is letting her get a bit close for comfort here, but she loved it.


And finally, we had to visit the monkeys. We fit right in :-).
