Fun in the Sun

After the hike, Brian went to play golf. Sydney and I headed to the park, however it was so warm that I thought it would be a good day for the water table. Later that night Christa and Shannon came over for dinner. They are moving back to Atlanta in a few weeks :-(. I am so glad I got to see her as much as I did while they were here - which wasn't enough. Safe travels!!!

Time to water the non-plant area

Moving on to watering the drive way

Sophia and her mom ended up coming over for some water table time and a picnic in front of the house. Sophia took her dress off so it wouldn't get wet, so Sydney followed her lead :-) NAKED BABIES!!! (with diapers)

They were so cute during the picnic

On to Sydney's 3rd outfit for the day. The girls up the street were going to have a squirter fight and got Sydney some squirters. Too bad she went down for a nap and didn't get to join them. Next time!

Finally, some play time inside.

Hike at Chatauqua

We went to Chatauqua Saturday morning for a short hike and to join in the bird migration activities going on. Well, after the hike, we figured out that the bird activities were on Sunday morning. Brian did take her back the next day and it seems they had a great Daddy/Daughter morning.

What a beautiful day for a hike!!!

Another Day at Monkey Bizness

Yep, another day at Monkey Bizness.

Sydney loves to cut with scissors.
What concentration

Kids can have fun anywhere...

Sydney finally got the hang of the swing. She loves it!

Erie Hot Air Balloon Launch

Every year there is a hot air balloon launch near our house - at 6:30am. All the balloons launch from the golf course and you can walk around while they are getting ready. We haven't been since 2 years ago when Sydney was just a baby. She really enjoyed it.

The company that took us up when Brian proposed.

Mother's Day

What a great Mother's Day I had with Brian and Sydney! They let me sleep in - boy am I old when sleeping in is 7:30 :-). I picked Tracie and Brian up from the airport since they returned from their Hawaii trip this morning. Brian, Sydney and I then headed to The Cracker Barrel for lunch. Good and bad, Sydney took a morning nap which killed most of the waiting time.

Good 'ole CB rockers

Ah, memories of playing the game over and over. (I am sure Betsy will notice the colors.)

Aren't Sydney's new chairs cute?!?! Oh, don't forget to notice her new Dora shovel. That way she could help us plant our new flowers.

Um, I think Sydney is outnumbered :-)
We started a tradition last year of planting our annuals on Mother's Day.
Notice the nice tractor decorating our front yard?

The neighborhood boys, Sam & Tim, stopped by to help us. Sam was excited to find a worm.

"Hmmmm, I think this will look better over here."

Typically Sydney loves to clean her toes, but today she decided to put dirt chucks in between her toes!

One set of Dahlias.

Sydney decided to supervise her Daddy while he trimmed the Aspen.

We need to reseed some of the front yard. To do this, Brian was digging out a spot of crab grass. Sydney decided she sit then play in that area.

After a long and fun day, Sydney fell asleep around 5 for another short nap. I miss the days that she would just snuggle in. I am so glad to be Sydney's mom! Thank you also Brian for being such a great husband and great father!
