Nature Club Hike

Our neighbors created the Nature's Explorer's Club for the kids to go on short hikes. We missed the first 2 due to a swim class and the other on a work day. Sydney & I were able to go today which was at McClintock Nature Trail at Chautauqua. There was Emerson (almost 4), Jack (3) and Sydney (2). They all had a blast.
I thought Sydney would want me to carry her, however when we got to the trail head, she took off by herself!

"Wow - that's a big rock!"

There was a class at this spot talking about the patch of poison ivy. We all learned something today. And we stayed far away from it!

I figured Sydney would be tired after the hike, however she did not want to take a nap. That made for a grumpy Sydney about 4:00 :-). We walked outside and right when we came inside, she went to the couch and put her head down. Not 2 minutes later she was asleep!

So much fun. It did wear her out, it just took her a little while to figure it out, but when she did whammy, she's down for the count. How absolutely precious. Hugs and Kisses.

Gotta love that "go til you drop" routine that all these kids adopt. We used to find the kids in unusual places and positions when they would get tired. One of them fell asleep on the pot! Too cute. She is growing up so fast. Hugs and love all around, Auntie M
