Our neighbors adopted Jordan a couple of years ago. I got to know them a short time before the adoption and then was able to attend the adoption. It was amazing. Then, a half sister was born. The Klein's took her in (foster parents) and it has been a LONG journey for them to actually adopt Sarah. Sarah is over 2yrs old and I got to attend her adoption. Again, amazing.
Sydney went with me. We are off to the Boulder Court House.

The actual adoption proceeding.

Of course Sydney did not have a nap due to the timing. We had to walk out about halfway
through the proceeding.

We missed them singing "Sweet Sarah Klein..."

Adoption is such a wonderful gift to the child, to allow them to grow up in a loving and nurturing home, and how much nicer that they are siblings! As a nation we seem to have moved away from this process and I am so glad to see when it works well. God bless that new addition to their family.
